PARANÁ RIVER AND THE HYDROPOLITICS IN ROSARIO CITY

Finally, after some time working on it, the book "Hidropolíticas y territoris hidrosociales en Rosario y el río Paraná" has been published ”. A collective work that we have made with my dear friends Gabriela González, Gustavo Fernetti and Carlos Salamanca, colleagues from the Espacios, Políticas y Sociedades Program ” CEI-UNR, published in digital format by UNR Editora.

It is a visual book made from the photographic exhibition of the same name made by our team in 2018, with the purpose of accompanying the publication of the book “Recursos, vínculos y territorios” that we compiled with Carlos Salamanca in 2017.

The original idea was to reflect the main analytical dimensions that had been proposed in "Recursos, vínculos y territorios", but trying to root those global and abstract discussions by placing them in the urban region of the city of Rosario (Province of Santa Fe, Argentina) and its relationship with the Paraná River, addressing various territorial, infrastructure, and environmental aspects, problematizing inequalities around a series of social rights such as access to water, the right to the city and issues of political ecology, changelling the dualistic hegemonic approach around the nature-society relations.

In this edition, new images and questions were incorporated that updated the original discussions, incorporating phenomena such as the historic downspout, the global COVID-19 pandemic and the problem of fires and burns in the Paraná Delta.

The book is an open access work, we leave the link to
